Today I interviewed a band called King The Kid. If you haven’t heard about them, you should definitely check them out!
A bit about the band from their bio:
The pop/rock DIY trio has grabbed the hearts of many teens with their one year of existence. 2013 was a major year for the band as they headed out on their first major tour opening for singer/songwriter enthusiast Alex Goot. Proving they were a powerhouse on the road the band took to the studio to release their debut full length. Gaining recognition from their originals, it was really their uniquely styled cover music videos that put their name on the map. They’ve covered everything from Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift, even Macklemore. However, it was “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus that would take the cake earning them over 4 million views adding to their 9 million viewed YouTube channel and coverage with publications like Bop, TigerBeat, and Idolator.
Just last week, KTK released their first original track of 2014 titled “Last Train” which premiered exclusively on Billboard.
They are a really nice band and great to chat to. The interview will be up this week or next.
Check out KTK’s cover of “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus.
