April 16th 2016 saw ‘The State’ Magazine hold its first ever magazine launch at The Diskery, in Birmingham.
A big thanks to everyone who attended the launch of our first issue! It was a great success. There was so many of you who showed an interest in the concept of the magazine and so many of you who picked up a copy to take away.
Through the feedback we recieved, we were able to make adjustments to our first issue. An update of the new version of issue one will be posted shortly. As well as the updated issue, we will also be posting what inspiried the idea of the magazine and the interviews in full that were featured in the magazine.
We would also like to thank The Diskery, for allowing the launch to take place there on record store day. Alongside the event, there was also a band called ‘The Institutes’, who played an acoustic set. It was a nice finishing touch to a great day.
If you weren’t able to make the launch, take a look at some of the photos that were taken by photographer Samia Mirza on the day!
